The New Albany Police Department project included several unique challenges. The evidence room required odor mitigation to prevent drug smells from spreading, which we addressed using a DOAS with carbon filtration. The facility also features a full VRF system for efficient climate control.
Site conditions were complex, with a high water table near the river necessitating an extensive basement dewatering system. This project also marked our first fully completed job in Revit. Design began in November 2022, with construction completed in January 2025.
DOAS
The biggest challenge was providing smell mitigation for the evidence room to avoid drug smell from migrating through the station. We utilized the DOAS to provide exhaust and supply to the room with carbon filters to evacuate and neutralize the smell. This was also a full VRF system.

"There was a lot of satisfaction in completing this job, being it was the first job that was completed in Revit by the company and was also the first full VRF system I had done.
It’s nice to see a building come together and know that you played a part in making it happen.”
