Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists, San Antonio, TX

Completed in 2024

VETERINARY HOSPITALS & CARE

Project Highlights

The Thrive San Antonio Specialty Hospital presented several complex engineering challenges that required innovative design solutions. The facility featured a micro-bulk oxygen storage enclosure for medical gas delivery—Spencer’s first of its kind—and incorporated an emergency power generator to support critical hospital functions such as imaging and surgery. Significant modifications to the existing HVAC and power systems were also required to meet the demands of a modern veterinary hospital. Despite the project’s technical complexity, the design was completed in 2022, construction finished in 2024, and the project was delivered on time with no construction delays.

Micro-Bulk Oxygen Storage Enclosure

There was a micro-bulk O2 storage enclosure for oxygen delivery.  The distribution and design of that space was novel to Spencer.  The facility also employed the use of an emergency power generator to support critical hospital functions including imaging and surgery.  The support of those systems was unique to this design.

"The client was very impressed with our ability to plan and coordinate requirements and equipment specs on the job.

Our coordination saves the project money and our involvement helped inform the client as to how to proceed most economically.”
