Westfield, IN | Options Charter School provides the Westfield community with an alternative to traditional education.
Prime Car Wash is about 12,182 square feet. This facility included a car detail area which required large tube heaters stretching across the top and bottom of the bay. We also needed to make sure the automatic tunnel had a unit that was an appropriate size to make sure it would provide the right amount of air. Additionally, the building needed an oil separator for any oil that washed off the car. To make sure the car wash had an appropriately sized oil separator for the job, we performed calculations through one of our representative’s websites and were able to size a separator based on the building’s square footage, sanitary pipe size, and the anticipated flow rate.
We also needed to look at the rainfall levels in that part of the state based on IPC to make sure we had the appropriately sized roof drainpipe sizes. Drawings from the car wash equipment vendors were provided to us so we could show proper water, sanitary, and oil waste lines to each required piece of equipment. Conduit and wire drawings were also provided to us, so we could show that information for the greeter booth and gate controls
During construction, the owners wanted to have a page turner so they could view the progression of the design and voice any changes or additions that were not initially shared. We were also provided with a list from the architect that included items that were either changed due to problems in other locations or feedback from those locations to help with our design.
We were able to discuss any issues or concerns that they may have had during the project’s design.”
